Hi! My name is Mar (hence the name of the blog: mar'malade), I'm Majorcan, I live in London, where I study cookery and work as an apprentice Chef, and I've created this blog with the idea of sharing with you as my favourite recipes as the recipes I'm learning as I study or work. I'm just starting with cookery, so my recipes are, at least for now, pretty basic and simple, although not worse because of that.
As I said before I learnt a lot of the recipes at the College, Westminster Kingsway College, or at work, in any of the hotels I've been working, but many others more are from the Internet, of my own or are recipes of my family or friends.
Since I'm Spanish but I study, work and live in English, this blog is going to be bilingual, so that all my friends and acquaintances, from one country or another, can read it, and also because, if the blog arrives to a significant number of people at some point (yes, I'm starting with optimism!) they could be from any (or almost) part of the world. Anyway, I do apologise in advance for my English, because I'll probably make a lot of grammatical and spelling mistakes everywhere. But it's the thought that counts! Or that's what they say...
Now I've already explained that, I start my blog! I promise I'll update it on a regular basis, and I'll also take pictures of the dishes as I cook (even though including that I have to take the pictures with my prehistoric mobile phone because I lost my camera and that I know absolutely nothing about photography, I don't guarantee too much quality on them).
Enjoy your meal!

¡Buen provecho!
