My final exam · Mi examen final

I must confess that today I'm still excited, because yesterday I had my final exam at college, where I did have to cook the three dishes of my portfolio. It was a competition between all the apprentices in my class, where four judges, including our Chef, had to taste and grade our dishes. It lasted two hours and a half, and I was (well, I think we all were) really nervous, although not at the beginning. I finally got all the dishes with almost any problem, and to my surprise... I got the first position! I couldn't believe it, and in fact I started trembling when they said so. I know it's not a big deal, but for me it was a very important step, and I'm sincerely happy. It was just amazing! And, moreover, I got a chef's jacket (in the picture) and a voucher for a dinner for two at Podium restaurant. Nice!

Now my NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery is even closer...

Debo confesar que aún hoy estoy emocionada, porque ayer tuve mi examen final en el college, donde tuve que cocinar los tres platos de mi portafolio. Fue una competición entre todos los aprendices de mi clase, donde cuatro jueces, entre ellos nuestro Chef, tenían que probar y calificar nuestros platos. Duró dos horas y media, y yo estaba (bueno, creo que todos lo estábamos) realmente nerviosa, aunque no al principio. Finalmente conseguí terminar los platos sin casi ningún problema, y para mi sorpresa... ¡obtuve la primera posición! No podía creérmelo, y de hecho empecé a temblar cuando me lo dijeron. Sé que no es nada del otro mundo, pero para mi fue un paso muy importante, y estoy de verdad muy contenta. ¡Fue estupendo! Y, además, me dieron una chaqueta de chef (en la imagen) y un vale por una cena para dos en el restaurante Podium. ¡Fantástico!
